Your DTF Printing Questions, Answered
What is direct-to-film printing?
DTF printing involves printing your design onto a special transfer film, then heat-pressing it onto fabric or other materials. Unlike Direct to Garment (DTG) printing, which prints directly onto the item, DTF uses a film to create vibrant, durable prints on a wide range of surfaces.
How long do DTF printed orders take?
Standard orders take about 5-10 business days, but may be longer during peak periods. DIY gang sheet orders can typically be ready within 1-3 business days. Need your order sooner? Upgrade to a rush order and have your DTF prints in 2-3 business days.
Is there an order minimum for DTF printing?
There’s no quantity minimum for DTF printed orders. We only require that your order meet or exceed $30.
How do I request a custom DTF printing quote?
To request a quote, get in touch with one of our Hurrdat Brand Goods sales representatives, walk into our store, or get a free quote online. For an accurate quote, we recommend providing: type of garment, style and size of decoration, number of locations and desired colors, and the quantity of the order. The quote for an order expires after two week’s time.
Can I supply my own garments?
Yes, you can supply your own garments. We do not offer contract pricing for customer-provided garments.
How long does DTF printing last?
DTF printing is meant to be durable and long-lasting. With proper care, a DTF printed garment can last up to 100 washes, equalling years of use for t-shirts, hoodies, and other apparel. To extend the life of your print, we recommend turning the garment inside out, washing in cold water only, using mild detergent, and washing on a gentle cycle to reduce friction.
Can I combine DTF and embroidery on the same garment?
Yes, but these decoration methods must be applied on separate locations of the garment.
Do you offer reflective or stretch transfers for athletic wear?
Yes, we’ll specially order these on request and apply your designs using our heat press.
